The BirdDog XL Ultra is a PTZ camera featuring a large 4/3" CMOS sensor, dual‑camera system, and 4K60 capture. It combines high image quality with flexible streaming and control options for professional production workflows.

The BirdDog XL Ultra is designed for high‑end production environments and is built around a large 4/3" CMOS sensor similar to those used in professional digital cameras. Combined with a 20× optical zoom lens, it delivers sharp detail, strong depth of field, and solid low‑light performance.

A key feature is its dual‑camera architecture. In addition to the main PTZ camera, the system includes a built‑in panoramic camera with an approximately 100° field of view. Both cameras can be independently controlled, record in 4K60, and output simultaneously.

The camera is designed for flexible workflows: each lens can use different protocols, such as NDI for the PTZ camera and SRT, RTSP, RTMP, HDMI, or SDI for the wide shot.

For modern production environments, the XL Ultra supports AR/XR workflows, multi‑camera synchronization, and image optimization tools. Features such as FreeD, Genlock, timecode, ND filters, and an optical low‑pass filter (OLPF) enable precise and consistent results.

An integrated AI tracking engine enables automatic subject tracking with natural movement. Speed, behavior, and sensitivity can be customized.

Control is handled via multiple interfaces and software tools, including the browser‑based BirdUI as well as mobile apps for remote operation, monitoring, and configuration.
