Updated PTZ Camera Operator Features
Auto-Tracking with Extended Options
This feature lets the camera automatically follow a moving person in its view. The extended options include selecting where the camera will pick up the next target and selecting between multiple targets on the fly.
Presenter Lock™
Presenter Lock™ allows users to choose a specific person to track, even while other people are in the frame. This auto-tracking feature allows users to seamlessly switch between on-stage presenters with a simple click of a button.
Multi-Target Select
With multiple subjects in view, Multi-Target Select allows users to select a specific person to track without having to cycle through each subject. Once enabled, Multi-Target Select provides a unique number for each subject shown in the live video area of the web interface. The bounding boxes appear only on the web interface, keeping the SDI, HDMI, USB, and NDI® video feeds clean and distraction-free.
Video Templates
The PTZOptics team is making it easy to select the best performance IP video streams for your project by providing easily selectable video templates for NDI®, Dante, and IP streaming.
White Balance Modes
This feature helps in adjusting the color balance in your images, specifically focusing on the color white. Different lighting conditions can change the color of white, which may alter other colors in the image. White balance modes can help correct for different types of light like sunlight, shade, tungsten, fluorescent, etc. so that the white in your image remains true and other colors are displayed correctly.
Exposure Modes
This refers to the different methods the camera uses to decide the correct combination of aperture, shutter speed, and ISO to achieve the perfect exposure. Different modes could include manual (where you control everything), auto (the camera decides), or other modes that allow control over one aspect (like shutter priority where you control the shutter speed and the camera adjusts the other settings).
Custom Joystick Button
Take a new level of control over your production with a customizable joystick button on the PT-JOY-G4 and PT-SUPERJOY-G1 controllers (optional!). This button is conveniently located at the top of the joystick controller for quick access to your most used functions. This joystick button is fully customizable, so you can choose if you want it to start recording in your video production software, instantly start auto-tracking on your currently selected camera, dim the lights, and so much more!
SuperPresets
The PT-JOY-G4 can now trigger SuperPresets to control up to eight cameras with a single click. SuperPreset buttons can trigger synchronized PTZ preset commands across the selected cameras and a custom HTTP trigger for automation with video production software. The PT-SUPERJOY-G1 was the first PTZ joystick to offer this feature, and the PTZOptics engineering team is happy to announce this functionality is now available in our more affordable PT-JOY-G4 model.
Automatic Triggers
PTZOptics IP joystick controllers now support automatic triggers, which can be used to trigger a command when switching a camera. Automatic Triggers are ideal for integrating your PT-JOY-G4 or PT-SUPERJOY-G1 joystick controllers with your video switcher or other production equipment. Use Automatic Triggers to automate your video production workflow to effortlessly queue up your next camera or prepare your next scene.
Dynamic Camera Variable
There is a new variable that can be used in the SuperJoy’s and the PT-JOY-G4’s Web UI to optimize the use of custom buttons. Using the new {{CURRENT_CAM}} stub instead of a hard-coded IP address allows you to send a custom command to the currently selected camera. This new option allows you to use custom button commands with a vastly larger amount of cameras.
