APT SURESTREAMER can sit in front of any existing single port IP Audio Codec from any manufacturer enabling the use of widely available, affordable IP connections to deliver broadcast-grade audio with no interruptions, glitches or drop-outs. It continues to provide a seamless audio stream, even when one of the contributory links suffers a total Loss of Connection.

APT SURESTREAMER can also be deployed as a multicast or multiple unicast node to reduce Telco costs significantly by migrating the stream  replication function away from the source encoder and closer to the decoding devices.

REMOTE HUB APPLICATION

Remote Hub describes the wireless ingress from a mobile unit to the APT SureStreamer and the network. It allows the talent to roam within the range of the wireless coverage to conduct interviews etc. The APT SureStreamer acts as private Wi-Fi access point for the mobile unit and connects the talent’s device reliably with the connected network utilizing the APT SureStream Technology.

SURESTREAMER DATA-NODE TO REDUCE TELCO COSTS

This application is for broadcasters who wish to save on operational costs by utilizing a Telco data center or other POP close to the broadcasting area. The studio streams only one pair of component streams into the remote data center. In the data center, the APT SureStreamer receives the program stream and multiplies it using Multicast or Multiple Unicast technology. Using the APT SureStreamer as a node to migrate the Multicast function closer to the decoder significantly reduces the long haul Telco costs.

EDI DISTRIBUTION FOR DAB NETWORKS

For DAB applications, a specially licensed SureStreamer unit can enable broadcasters to replace dedicated internet links and expensive EDI switches with easily affordable public internet links.
